Summary
We’re currently supporting an aviation leadership search for an Assistant Director of Flight Operations based in Lagos.
This role is ideal for a seasoned aviation professional with strong hands-on experience across flight operations, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
Includes:
Supporting the management of day-to-day flight operations, scheduling, dispatch, and crew coordination
Ensuring full compliance with aviation regulations and oversight of the Safety Management System (SMS)
Leading, mentoring, and developing flight and operational crews
Driving operational efficiency, fleet utilisation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Supporting strategic planning and working closely with senior leadership.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Valid ATPL or equivalent aviation certification strongly preferred
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in flight operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards
Proven leadership, decision-making, and crisis management capability.
